Help me to bring luck to my 13th marathon! On October 19, 2008, I will be running the Nike Woman’s Marathon in memory of my husband & stepfather, and well in honor of those who are currently fighting back against Cancer.
I will do this through my involvement in a great organization called Team in Training (TNT). By joining forces with TNT, I will be helping to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
As you probably know, I have run many marathons before. I may not need the coaching aspect of TNT as much as others on my team, however, I have other reasons to join forces with TNT.
Included in these MANY personal events are the loss of two of the most important people in my life:
I am tired of losing the lives of those I care about to ANY form of cancer. Through my involvement with TNT, I have been lucky enough to meet some fantastic people. They are real people, like you and me, who have families and friends that don't want to them to die. If the money that I help raise can prevent someone else from suffering the pain that I live with each and ever day, then I am certain that I will find joy once again.
If you can, please help. Each donation that I receive for LLS will help to accelerate finding a cure for these blood cancers, and EVERY donation, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.
