Welcome to Bob Angus' Team In Training home page.


It is amazing to think that this same time last year I had never run more than 6 miles. Now I am kicking off training for my 3rd full marathon in a year! I will be running in the 2012 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC on October 28th.


What's motivating me to to tackle this understandably crazy challenge? Simple. I am on a mission to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers.


All of us on The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating by training for this epic 26.2 mile run. But with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well. I am running the Marine Corps Marathon in memory of Linda Gunn, my dear and loving friend. A huge part of who I am today and what I believe in is because of Linda, her husband Bob and the whole Gunn family. This race is to celebrate her and is the best way I know how to help find a cure to a cancer that took her away from us too soon.
