Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to Rommel's Team In Training home page!

I am running this endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-In-Training. I am raising money for this very important cause and I'm asking you to help by making a contribution!

My goal is to raise a minimum of $3,200.00 by Friday, September 13th.

I am running the Chicago Marathon on October - in honor of the children and adults who are suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood-related diseases. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Research and patient services are essential to saving lives. Leukemia and lymphoma are the 4th major cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. and the leading fatal cancers for people under the age of 25. And the survival rate for myeloma is only 28%!

I am dedicating this run to our honorees. Our Honorees or Honored Patients are the reason we are here. They have a direct experience with the diseases that we are all committed to eradicating. Some of our Honorees are currently in active treatment; others are in remission, though they still undergo regular maintenance treatment or testing.

So this brings me to why I'm writing to you. I need your help to meet my goal of raising $3,200. Any donation - large or small - is greatly appreciated. All of us have been touched by cancer in some way or another. Consider this opportunity to help find a cure without running 26.2 miles! I will do that part on behalf of our Honorees and anyone you know who is experiencing any type of cancer.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a non-profit organization, under section 501(c)(3), your contributions may be deducted for tax purposes as provided in section 170 of the Code.
