I'm at it again!!! If you see me running around town in very crazy weather, freezing temperatures, hurricane like rain or unlikely hot weather, please don't think I have gone insane!!!

I am just Racing to Save Lives!!!

A few years ago, my life was touched by a beautiful angel named Hazel Camille Anderson and since then it hasn't been the same! Hazel who was the daughter of one of my best friends and colleague, Bryan Anderson, battled a rare brain tumor called ATRT that eventually took her life. Her battle became my battle! She became the motivation that I needed to push forward and help those in need, even if I didn't know them personally!

Two years ago I took on the challenge to fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by running a marathon (26.2 miles), something that I thought I was going to die doing. I survived! I accomplished my fundraising goal and with pain, bruises and Hazel watching me from up top finished the marathon. I promised myself that I would never do something like that again! But when I hear the stories of people who are battling or loosing battles with many types of cancer, I can't just sit and not do anything. I know that the pain of running can't compare to the pain these people and their love ones are going through... so I am back for more!!!

I'm training to run the Mayor's Marathon in Alaska as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am very excited to run the 26.2 miles of the Mayor's Marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling or who have battle any type of cancer. I will also do it in memory of those who lost their fight with this disease.
