Racing to Save Lives




Welcome to my Team In Training home page.


I have been a runner for the past 30 years, and an endurance runner for the past 3 years with the pleasure of running many beautiful trail miles with good friends. Now, I'm ready for a new challenge in addition to my trail running....riding 100 beautiful miles at Lake Tahoe this June with TNT, working towards raising funds to help fight blood cancers!

My friends Penny Beeston and Andrew Johnson and I will be training and gearing up....yes, bad pun intended!.....to complete "America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride 2009" with many other bike enthusiasts. Andrew is also one of our team honorees, and his strength and attitude are something I admire in the greatest. My mother Dorothy Carlson and my father Ted Carlson also live with cancer, and this ride is for them and so many others, too.



All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia,

lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am

completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling

blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we

need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
