Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on

Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin

lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the

ultimate finish line - a cure!

I am training for one of my biggest events ever in my life, a full Ironman Triathlon.

For those of you who are not quite sure of what that intales, it is:

A 2.4 Mile swim, A 112 Mile bike ride and a Full Marathon Run -26.2 Miles.

This has been a goal of mine ever since I did my first Team In Training event. I have done a few Marathons, 2 Half Ironman events, and a Century ride all with TNT. I know I will complete this event also.

I have made it a goal to do this before I turn 50. I will be 49 two weeks after the day of this event which marks the year of my fathers age at the time he lost his battle with Leukemia. My overall goal is to raise enough money to "make a difference" in someones life that they might not have had if it weren't for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

We only have 4 weeks left in our training and wow has it all gone by so quickly.

We are now in our "race phase" of our training. I feel that we have been trained well.

We train 6 days a week including working my full time job. The training is pretty intense but then again, so is Chemotherapy and Radiation. This is something I am choosing to do, versus those who don't have a choice.
