Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Hello Friends,
I'm training to participate in Nike Women's Marathon 2010 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
07/10/2010: Another great long run saturday. Before staring I had a little pain in my knees which I had been icing. Still ran 10 miles and after 5 miles for sometime I was thinking when will it end :-). But then with all the great people aroound time and miles just flew.
Except for last mile or so when the pain increased quite a bit.
Back to lots of icing and may be need to slow down and in two weeks will run almost half-marathon .. yeaaaay!!!
06/19/2010: Phew..what a great day.I am so proud of myself and the team. A lot of us including me ran the maximum distance of our lives. I personally ran 7 miles and the finish was amazing. I can only imagine what would it be to complete the marathon!!
06/05/2010: Today was a good day. Had first coach led training run and I completed 6 miles. The day was beautiful and Los Gatos creek trail was busy..lots of great people running supporting different causes or just walking/running just for fun.
05/25/2010: After a good rest, back on track at Los Gatos High School for some good strenghtening excercises and relay run. Had some good laps with the team. Good job guys.
The weather was kinda bad, but surprisingly it wasn't that cold and little rain kept the body cool. Running with double rainbow in background was awesome with rain and wind hitting the face, Long time since that happened.
05/22/2010: First day of training. Ran 3 miles at Los Gatos Creek trail, had lot of fun with the team.
