Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page for the summer season. Since this Victoria, BC, race is completed, I have progressed to the winter season and have a new fundraising page for the Atlanta Marathon in March 2009. Please consider donating to that current effort.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. This is my fifth event with TNT (previously a half marathon in San Francisco and fulls in Portland, San Francisco, and Napa) and I welcome anyone who would like to make a repeat donation to a great cause!

This year we have an exciting new auction associated with our fundraising! For a charitable contribution of as little as $25, you can be entered automatically to win:

• Grand Prize - "Amazing Local Vacation Package" featuring accommodations at the New Rosewood Sandhill luxury Hotel in Menlo Park (two nights in Premium Suite; dinner for two at their acclaimed restaurant, Madera; breakfast for two one morning; two 60 minute massages in their relaxing spa). The Vacation Package also includes shopping certificates for some outstanding businesses: Kepler's Books, Peet's Coffee and Tea, and The Runner' High, as well as a spa collection of Kiehl's body products for the whole family from our friends at the Stanford Kiehl's store.
