My Fundraising Page

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my *NEW* Team In Training home page. As I indicated on my first TNT fundraising page, the EPCOT Wine and Dine was the first, but certainly wouldn't be the last, of my TNT races. So, here we are -- starting back at square one with a new goal to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers! To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the New Orleans Rock 'N' Roll Marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training.
As with my last run, I am running this race IN MEMORY of my friend, Michelle SanAntonio Piper, who lost her battle with Leukemia at the age of 35. Michelle was "my person." When I needed to talk, I would pick up the phone and dial her number (and vice versa). Every race I run, every training I participate in, I do with Michelle in mind, and with the hope that no one else has to have his or her "person" taken away far too soon.
On an incredibly bright note, because of the efforts of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Team In Training members, my Pi Beta Phi sister, Kerry Costa, was able to beat Lymphoma! Kerry and I spent countless hours together during my college career -- whether it was on the same Executive Board of our sorority, camping out in each others' rooms in our sorority house, or driving around the UCF area talking, listening, and advising each other. I am extremely grateful for the strides we have made in working toward a cure for blood cancers, and Kerry's health is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the medical professionals, LLS, and TNT. I am also taking on the streets of New Orleans IN HONOR of my sister and my friend, Kerry. TTF <3.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help me become a ROCKSTAR for the New Orleans Rock 'N' Roll Marathon!
