Check out that nasty grade!

Check out the racecourse! There are some serious hills but as race day nears I just get more and more excited. We've been going on some crazy runs/bikes lately. Sunday I ran up 677 steps and then ran through some trails totalling 8 miles. The TNT team is pretty hardcore- not going to lie!

David's Story
Feb 23, 2011 by Lola Catero

David has an amazing story and he is gracious and open enough to share it with us. Talk about a fighter! Other than participating in goofy photoshoots on the weekends, he works during the day, goes to MBA classes during the night, and eats fro-yo with me whenever possible.
David's Story:
Two years ago, at the ripe age of 23, I was pulled out of a CT Scan on a sunny St. Patrick's day and told I had cancer. It turns out that it wasn't just cancer, it was Stage 4 T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The massive tumor that was growing in my chest had cut off 90% of my airway, and I was internally suffocating--a few more weeks and I would most surely have died.
Due to nothing less than a will to live, a strong support system, a sense of humor and people like Lola Catero, I am still here; now, it's my turn to help others. Lola will be running a triathlon in my honor to help those affected by diseases like mine. I ask you to give what you can to her donation page: so that together, we can help stop this from happenening to others in the future.
This weekend, with the help of the fabulous Michelle Yoder her other work can be seen at her official website. Lola and I took part in a photoshoot to make light of a serious situation. Unfortunately, the truth is that people are dying and we all know someone who has--I just got lucky, but nothing is ever certain. Again, I ask you to give what you can and to think of people like me, who have survived to tell our story so that we can make a difference on behalf those who never had a chance to. I thank you in advance and I know Lola does too!!!

As promised...my honoree David and I did a photoshoot yesterday. We had a LOT of fun! If you haven't donated yet, I don't see how you could say no to either of us. I mean talk about s-t-y-l-i-s-h.

A big THANKS to Michelle Yoder for donating her photo expertise to us. Check her out!

Hello friends, family, and general do-gooders. Thanks for checking out my fundraising page!
What's the Scoop?
I'm training to participate in a Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, including my honoree David Rauscin.
Race details: Wildflower Olympic (.93 mi. swim, 24.8 mi. bike, 6.2 mi. run)
Stay in Loop!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training & keep checking in to see my progress! Also, my honoree David and I will be doing a photoshoot soon involving old school workout gear in lots of colors- so get your glasses ready!
-Lola
PS. Why don't we say 'Stay in the scoop?' or 'What's the loop?'
