This is a photo of my dear friend, Tom Grywczynski, and his beautiful children (Katie, Matthew, Joey and Laura) during the final months of his life. Tom lost his courageous battle against leukemia last August. He had so much to live for, and never, ever gave up, inspiring hundreds of people during his heroic journey.

We need to live by his example and fight, fight, fight like he did --- fight for a cure to leukemia. Tom is my inspiration and why I have returned to Team in Training for a 4th season, this time as a coach.

I will be riding in two century events this November (Solvang and Tucson) in memory of Tom and the nearly 1 million people in the U.S. alone who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Thanks for your support and as Tom would say " Get Busy Living!"

Please keep Tom's wife, Liz, and their kids in your prayers.

Sincerely,

Ross

"Ride on Ross! We lost a sweet friend to leukemia last July at age 18. She got into Berkeley and was about to report when she passed away. Your freind Tom and Anahita are just two of the wonderful people this disease took down in 2010. Thanks for doing this! Karin"
