Hi, Everyone:

Well, I'm doing it again -- training for the Solvang Century as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT). My first experience with TNT, last year, was exhilarating: I loved being part of a team of really nice cyclists who were all raising money to find cures and better treatments for blood cancers; I had a blast riding the Century (100 miles, with a bunch of hills!); and it was incredibly gratifying to see the contributions and kinds comments come in on this page!! I ended up raising many times more than I'd originally asked for -- which, in turn, meant that cancer patients and their families were able to receive desperately needed care and support.

This year's ride will take place on March 9, 2013, and I have committed to raise at least $2,250 by then. Every Saturday morning (usually beginning really early!), weather permitting, I'm training with my local Bay Area team, which includes many friends I made on last year's team along with a bunch of newbies. As I did last year, I will post a description of each training ride on my blog -- http://joshkornbluth.com/wordpress/ -- along with a map of the ride and various vital stats uploaded from my GPS device. So you can follow my progress and add your own comments as I rebuild my (relatively) lithe, endurance-riding physique!
