I had a great time riding the Solvang Century with my wonderful teammates! Thanks so very much to everyone who has contributed!!
You can read my little report from Solvang on my blog.
Also, please note that people can still donate here to my fundraising page, through April 9.
And finally (for now), big thanks to everyone who came to my Feb. 27 benefit performance of "Ben Franklin: Unplugged" at the Ashby Stage in Berkeley. I'm thrilled to report that this event raised $2,815.00 (the $2,750 you can see on the right-hand side of this page, plus two additional checks)! The Shotgun Players, who run Ashby Stage, were so generous to make their lovely theater available!
Take care, everyone!!
Josh
My enormous thanks to everyone who has so generously contributed!! Although I have reached my original fundraising goal, I am happy -- thrilled, even -- to continue accepting donations until a month after my March 10 ride in the Solvang Century. So if you'd still like to donate to help fight blood cancers, please do!!
Take care,
Josh
Hi, Folks:
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I have a mission -- to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I'm training to participate in the Solvang Century -- a 100-mile bicycle race (yikes!) -- on March 10 of next year, as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training.
The idea of biking for such a long distance (something I've never done) frightens and excites me; the goal of curing cancer motivates me. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating -- and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures! You can follow my progress -- as I train for the race and learn more about fighting cancer -- on my blog.
Thanks so much!!
-- Josh
