I made it. I completed my first tri. It was great experience and believe it or not I actually had fun. I'm definately planning on doing another one but not for a little while. Thanks to everyone for their support. You can see my results here.

First open water swim at aquatic park! Nothing wakes you up like jumping in the bay at 8 am. Good warm up with Alcatraz in the backround. Got some more practice in today. The bay is not that cold when compared to San Francisco summer weather. Hopefully with some more practice Alcatraz won't look so far away.

I've been overwhelmed by the generous support from my co-workers. They have donated over $600 towards my fundraising efforts so far. Not to mention all the encouraging emails and stories they have shared. Their support has been a real motivator as my race gets closer and the training gets tougher. I'm so thankful to work with great people at a great company!

Took another ride to the top of twin peaks to enjoy the view. This week we did the sand ladder at Baker beach which is a definite ass kicker. Sunday was swimming and biking, not the best after North Beach fest but I lived. On Thursday we did an indian run or as they say in San Francisco indigenous peoples run. Went for a run up to the bridge in back to get some additional work in.

This Thursday was 400 relay's at Kezar...shouldn't of picked a fast teammate. Have to get up early tomorrow for a bike ride. Thank you to everyone that has donated, it really helps my motivation.
