Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page. As you may know my girlfriend and I have joined Team in Training in order to raise funds for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS). We are both planning to compete in the Pacific Grove Olympic Triathlon as part of Team in Training.

Team in Training is helping me to achieve my personal goal of completing a Triathlon. Team in Training allows me to achieve my personal goal while helping a very worthy cause.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all those individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Week 1 is complete and Week 2 will start when I get off work tonight. After my first coached swim workout I am pretty comfortable with the swim portion of the Tri, but I have to really work on getting the run back up to where I was a couple of years ago. I added Chelsea's link to this site even though she already has raised more then me. I got my first donation today! Thanks Jen!

I did my first 2 mile timed run....the results were not good. This was the first time I timed myself running 2 miles since I left the Army. I just keep telling myself that "Everyone has to start somewhere"
