I'm training to participate in the Pacific Grove Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!



I’m so excited and proud to be a part of an organization that does so much for people with Leukemia, Lymphoma and other blood cancers. Our Team Honoree actually is alive today because of a drug that the LLS helped fund through their research grants.



One of the many things I REALLY like about LLS is that they’re an organization that actually uses the funds for research, patient advocacy, patient care and other patient related services. Plus, we participants become part of a team and we get support, coaching, motivation, and the chance to just have fun and do something that many of us have never done before.



I’m really looking forward to being a part of the team but I need help from my friends and family. LLS sets a minimum amount of money to raise in order to participate in the event. This year, I’ve decided to set my own fundraising goal above what i have to raise - I’d like to raise $3,500 for Team in Training and the Leukemia and Lymphoma society! Any little bit helps!
