Heroes go the distance.
And so do marathoners.
In 9 days I will run my fourth marathon. Ready or not, Nike Women’s Marathon is here and I still need your help...
How? Your generous donation will help make this marathon a success! Your donation will help save lives and isn’t that what heroes do? Heroes save lives by going the distance, by caring, by helping.
And the best thing is that heroes are everywhere - just look in the mirror. I firmly believe we all can be and are heroes.
Where the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides hope, it is the power of your donation that goes the distance and helps save a life.
Our honorees, my honorees, tell us how the donations help. Donations help with expensive medial co-pays, fund research to find new drugs that make it possible for a family to spend more time together, and even help with transportation costs so that those in the most remote areas can receive treatment.
Making a donation will feel good, because the quickest way to feeling extra good about ourselves is to help someone else.
Imagine being a hero...Will you go the distance with me?
Above the treeline at Pike Peak Ascent 2010.
...it is telling yourself to move-move-move when you believe your legs are dead.
......it rising at 5am on a Saturday because a whole team is counting on you to be there!
.........it is dedication to finish 26.2 miles for those who are unable.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
As a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training, I am doing it again! Marathon #4 is on the schedule and I need your help to stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.
Please consider making a donation today...
$1,000 Your philanthropy just supported one weeks salary for a medical researcher at UCSF, Stanford, or Berkeley to help develop curative treatments for blood cancers.
$500 Your big heart just provided a blood cancer patient with financial assistance for one year or just allowed 10 patients to log on to a webcast and hear the latest information in treatment for their disease.
$200 Your benevolence provides a one year Family Support Group Program for a patient and their family.
$150 Your compassion allows 5 patients to make a First Connection with a trained peer volunteer.
$100 Your heart is shining purple love as you just provided three patients access to an informational teleconference!
$50 You're a rock star and you just bought a patient a CT scan.
$40 Your generosity just sent a comprehensive packet of information for children with cancer.
$35 You thoughtfulness paid for transportation expenses for a patient living in Northern Californias most rural areas to receive cancer treatment.
$25 Your kindness just covered a prescription co-payment.
These are just a few ways your donation will help.
Every mile, every dollar, is every chance we have to find a cure.
Please consider helping today.
Thank you,
Tabitha
