Whoo hoo! I'm finished!
I want to remind everyone that I ran the 2009 Nike's Women Marathon today, October 18th, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
I complete this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but especially for Lauren Sophia, the daughter of my dearest friends Byron and Euni.
By the way, I ran this marathon as a red head!
And, It's still not too late to donate.
Here's a brief update from Lauren's dad, Byron:
"Lauren is a happy little girl who loves to play and we're just glad she's getting through this without major complications. She still can't go out to play because she is sunlight sensitive and her immune is still low at times, but she does't seem to miss it so for that we are also grateful.
"Lauren is now moving into the second to last phase called the intra-maintenance before the final maintenance stage. the chemo is lower than the last phase that she just went through.
"Please continue your prayers and positive energy towards her recovery. We feel very grateful to how things are progressing."
