There will be Blood Research for Cancer!
Pictured above is my grandmother as well as my Uncle Doug and Aunt Maureen. Both my Uncle and my Grandmother died from a form of blood cancer. On October 18th, I will be running in the San Francisco Nike Women's half marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society's Team in Training. In order to do this run I am training five times a week and raise at least $2,500 which will go towards blood cancer research. Please help me out by donating whatever you can!
Anything you can donate will help!
Yes, all donations, no matter the size, are tax deductable. AND...I am offering a custom painting to anyone who donates $250 or over. For examples of my art, please visit http://www.pickacolor.net
I am also holding a raffle on October the 24th for a custom portrait for anyone who donates at a suggested rate of $10 or more. (one ticket will be issued for every $10 donation, 3 for every $25)

Why Am I Doing This?
In high school, I was tricked into running cross country by a friend who will remain nameless (KAI) who told me that the coach would let me walk. That didn't happen. My first time running was around lake Temescal. I thought skechers counted as running shoes and I sprained my ankle tripping over a tree branch. I always came in last place, beaten out even by a friend of mine who had recently had surgery and had a metal bar helping to support her ribcage.
Needless to say, my running experiences were not great. But at least I finished the races, and I didn't give up! And now I'm preparing to run the most I have ever run before...ever. But at least now I have adidas and not skechers.
I chose to run for Leukemia and Lymphoma society as it has affected my family directly. Both my Uncle Doug and my grandma June died from it, and in recent years, yet another Uncle of mine has been diagnosed with it.
Thanks in advance for supporting me, and thanks to all my donors so far:
