Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to run the Nike Women's Half Marathon on October 19th. That's right - 13.1 miles!
Yes, there will be hills, fog and early morning training sessions, but I'm welcoming the challenge. I will be running this half-marathon to honor all the people who have been lost to cancer, and to celebrate those who have survived! I am also running for myself, to accomplish something I never thought I would do. AND I will be running those hills with my sister, Sarah, who will be training for the event in Atlanta.
I hope you will support me by making a donation to my fundraising effort. The money you donate is tax deductible and will help fund vital research to help us find a cure for cancer.
Thanks for your support!
July 21st:
On Thursday, July 17th sailor extroadinaire, Mark Rudiger, lost his 4 year battle to lymphoma.
On Saturday, July 21st The Marina/Marin TNT Team dedicated our 6 mile run to Mark and his family.
This year Team In Training is hoping to hit the one billion mark - 75% of which will go towards research to keep people like Mark win their battle.
