Walking for Justin and to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

As many of you may not know, my brother Justin, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (aka Hodgkin’s Disease) on Feb. 29, 2008 after a month of testing. Doctors moved rather quickly and he began Chemo treatments on April 1st. Now he is currently undergoing his 4th cycle of chemo treatments. He is doing rather well so far, he’s only been sick twice. And things seem to be working for the best. The tumor seems to have reduced in size, but we will find out for sure with testing after he completes his 6th cycle of Chemo, around mid August. He started loosing all of his hair so instead we just cut it off! He is still trying to work as much as he can and is still active.



Because of him, my friend Heather and I are training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon in October as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We are completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
