Welcome Family and Friends to my Team In Training home page.
I'm back with Team in Training (TNT) and I'm coming back with a vengeance!
In HONOR of my beautiful goddaughter Isabella Faith Jabonero who is such an inspiration I've decided to dedicate my next Triathlon to her. Miss Izzy was diagnosed with A.L.L Leukemia in June 2010 and has been FIGHTING like a CHAMP to overcome this obstacle that no 4 year old should have to go through. Even through this hardship Izzy has been such a STRONG, SMART, LIVELY and TALENTED child with a such bright personality.
From the inspiration of Miss Izzy I'm on a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the South Maui Triathlon, Olympic distance (.93 miles swim, 24.8 miles bike and 6.2 miles run) as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Before and Now.. Izzy at a little over a year being cancer free. Her journey is NOT over yet and continues to do routine treatments, but is such a CHAMP she's kicking Cancers Butt!!!

FACT: Survival rates for children with leukemia have improved from 3% 40 years ago to 90% today; Hodgkin lymphoma patient survival rates have more than doubled to 88% since the 1960s. And the survival rate for myeloma patients tripled in past decade.
Be apart of making a difference by change the current 88-90% survival rate to 100% by supporting to find a cure.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
