Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to cycle 100 miles around Lake Tahoe as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
Several years ago my wife worked for an organization that grants wishes to terminally ill children. She would come home with stories about the children and their amazing strength in the face of life's hardest challenges. Many of these children were undergoing treatment for leukemia. Thanks to the work done by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society a diagnosis of leukemia is no longer fatal.
Now I am a father and am blessed to have two children; a daughter with a love of the outdoors and a son whose activity level is unrivaled. I ride to not only stay in shape and keep up with my children but to be a role model for a healthy lifestyle and be there for them. I don't why some children are afflicted by this disease and some are not. I do know that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society works tirelessly on behalf of those battling blood cancers to find a cure.
I hope you will join me in honoring those inidividuals and their families who are battling
blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
