Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training for the Vineman Triathlon, that's a 2.4 mile swim, then bike 112 miles and wrap it all up by running (or walking) 26.2 miles. 140.6 miles total. The big day will be 31 July 2010 in Sonoma County.

I'm doing this as a member of Team In Training to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society(LLS) . The goal is to fund research to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives and to provide support to patients dealing with blood cancers.

Please support our goal and sponsor a mile or more of my effort. (Thanks to Phil for the idea.) All proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and may be tax-deductible. To learn more about the work of LLS, visit their website at www.lls.org.

A donation of:

$150 for a Swim Mile

$30 for a Bike Mile

$50 for a Run Mile

$250 for the Final 1.2 Miles

How it Works

1. Make a donation (see upper right hand corner on this page to use a credit or debit card or send a check payable to LLS to

2. I'll contact you to ask which miles you would like (first come, first served) and whether you have a personal honoree you would like to honor. An Honoree is the Team title for someone who has or had cancer. Besides honoring that person, I'd like to have people to think about so I don't get fixated on the fact that my legs are tired.

If no preference, I'll place you in an available spot.

3. Your name (or "anonymous" if you prefer) will go next to that mile and you can list something such as a website, business, or your personal Honoree.

Important!

If your company matches charitable gifts, let me know and we'll either add another mile to your name or upgrade it accordingly! If you're not sure, let me know your employer and I can check.

Remember all donations are 100% tax deductable and will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families! We can make a difference!
