Hi everyone! Well i'm at it again. Remember that marathon last year that I trained so hard for? Together you and I helped raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymhoma Society (LLS). Since then I have completed another marathon and two half marathons. Now that I have "endurance running" under my belt, I am itching to do something different. Just last week I signed up with Team In Training to complete an Ironman Event in Sonoma, California on August 1, 2009. For those of you that aren't familiar, the event involves a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. No problem, right?
Yikes I know... but I KNOW I can do this. I am asking all of you to please help by supporting me in reaching my goals. I will take care of the physical part of the challenge but I need all of YOU to help me reach my fund raising goal of $8,000. I know it's a lot but it's all worth while. Seventy-five percent of all funds will go directly towards research in finding a cure. Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support.
