Thank you for visiting my Team In Training home page.
The fight against cancer is very personal to me. My father and grandmother have suffered with forms of cancer, and breast cancer took my mother at too young an age. In 2008 I was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. Fortunately I received excellent treated and am in remission. I owe my life to the doctors and researchers who developed ways to successfully fight cancer. However, many others have not been as fortunate and there is still much work to do.
To help in the fight against cancer I’m participating in the Oakland Running Festival half-marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m working to stay healthy by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Thanks very much,
Steve
