Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
This terrible disease called "cancer" has affected my family (grandparents Vicky & Jose Alarcon & my sister-in-law Terri Campbell). I'm running the Rock-n-Roll half marathon on June 5th in honor of them.
I would be honored if you could make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.

" As you can see I have not shared my progress...So here's a quick highlight of what's been going on with Bea during Team In Training!
*2 weeks ago I ran 8 miles! wha wha...
*on April 3rd I ran the Carlsbad 5K! What an experience...I saw the world's fastest runners! CRAZY!
*last Saturday I organized a pub crawl in Pacific Beach. I raised $236.50!! Thank you everybody who came out & support LLS & Team In Training. I'm only $239.00 away from reaching goal!
*tomorrow I will run 10 miles in Solana Beach! I have to admit I'm worried...my right ankle hasn't been doing well. Wish me luck!
So there's a quick snapshot of my progress so far... I will try to keep my page updated.

thru intense Kemo and radiation
treatments. All looks good so far and
we pray daily for her recovery. With
