Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to Charlie's Team In Training home page!
I'm happy to be training for the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon on May 31, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
Although I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, I am participating in this program in honor of our friend, Deana Reynolds, who is fighting Burkitt's lymphoma. Deana is a loving wife and a caring Mother to two young boys, and so it is for her that I will run and complete this marathon.
Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. I hope that our participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support. And it will get us one step to the ultimate finish line ... a cure.
