Racing to Save Lives


Four year old Alexander Pain known as "Gubben" has inspired me to run the upcoming Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco on October 18, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training! Gubben is one of the 5,430 people diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) in 2008 and after an enduring battle I am happy to report that he has recently started phase five the "maintenance" period of his treatments!


Watching Gubben and his family fight Leukemia with strength, determination, and an incredibly positive attitude is what motivated me to participate in this event. This is my way of showing support for them and all the other individuals who are battling blood cancers.


By making a donation, you will be supporting this cause and my participation in Team In Training to help advance LLS's mission to finding a cure for blood cancers!
