Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I'm training to participate in an endurance event (13.1 miles to be exact) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. In particular, I am running for my honored team mate and friend, Carla Wyatt. The picture you see is of us at a friend's wedding last year. Little did we know that less than a year later she would be diagnosed with cancer and would be going through aggressive and arduous cancer treatments. It is very difficult to understand the pain and frustration of cancer until you see a loved one battling and fighting this terrible disease.
The people fighting this disease are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
