Welcome to my Team In Training page!
I have been working hard training! I am so blessed by everyone's love and support! I am very happy working with Team in Training and supporting the LLS!
Every time I train with team I hear more and more stories of what the money raised is doing to help fight blood cancer.
I am really trying to finish up fundraising for this event and actually move forward with the summer team. I feel honored to be a part of the fight against blood cancers and my journey is not done yet!!!
Thanks to everyone who has been donating and coming out to my events!

If you don't know my story I will share a bit of it here. I am a single mom with 2 beautiful kids Martin age 8 and Katalina age 4. I work for Kaiser Permanente in their after hours nurse advice call center as a screener since Oct 2008. I was born and raised in San Diego. We live and go to church in Mission Valley. I stay at home during the day and homeschool my kids and work in the evenings when they spend time with their dad.
My favorite past time is deep sea fishing. I never expected to find another passion later on in my life but...In May 2010 I participated in my first mini-triathlon. Before that I had never done anything athletic since high school. BUT something happened and a new person was born! Since that first race I have done 3 more triathlons (sprint distance), a half marathon and a full marathon!
I believe God had a plan and purpose in me becoming a triathlete. His plan was revealed to me when my brother was diagnosed with Leukemia in August 2010. Just a few months later he lost his battle with cancer in Dec 2010 at the age of 35. I understood how this affects not only the person with the illness but the impact on family and friends. Our loss was devastating. Watching my brother fight for his life taught me what true will and determination look like. I knew I wanted to race to honor him, in his memory. I wanted to represent him and all our family. I will live my life to the fullest, healthiest, happiest I can. Dedicate my training to him. For him I will push myself further then I have ever gone before. This is for him...in loving memory of Noel Peter Diamond
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Lavaman Triathlon April 1, 2012 an olympic distance race (my longest yet) as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
