Please Help
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
On Sunday, March 29th, I participated in the Lavaman triathlon with my Team In Training teammates. We competed in honor of cancer survivors and in memory of those who did not win the battle against leukemia, lyphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin's disease. We swam, biked and ran our hearts out. We raised over a quarter of a million dollars to find a cure. The fight isn't over yet.
An estimated 138,530 people in the United States will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2008 and an estimated 52,910 will die from these diseases this year. Not only will funds raised by the LLS help find future cures, they will also help those who are diagnosed have a better chance of survival and a better quality of life today.
I've met my fundraising commitment to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, but your donation can still help. This page will accept donations for a few more days and you can always support the cause at lls.org.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
