Welcome to our Ironman New Zealand Team's Homepage

Kia Ora!
That's a Maori greeting as we welcome you here to our Ironman New Zealand Team's homepage.
The IMNZ Team is participating in one of the most exteme events in the world, the Ironman Triathlon, with one common goal in mind: to honor and benefit all individuals battling blood cancers. This IMNZ Team is raising funds to help find cures and more effective treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. As a Team, we can accomplish great things towards cures for blood cancers!
We encourage you to consider supporting the IMNZ Team by making a donation to support LLS’s efforts to find cures and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Can we count on your support?
In case you didn't know, an Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, followed by a 26.2 mile run (that's a full marathon). It all adds up to 140.6 miles -- and it must be accomplished within 17 hours. Grueling? Maybe. Impossible? No! Will it be tough? Sure. But not as tough or grueling as someone who is undergoing chemo-therapy. Now that is tough! Those people are the real heoes here. They motivate us and it is in their honor that this IMNZ Team pushes itself mentally, physically, emotionally as well as in fundraising.
Our Team goal? $500,000.
How to get there? One donation at a time. One dollar at a time.
Will you join our Team? We assure you, donating is a lot easier than chemo-therapy.
Thanks for your support and, as we say at Team In Training, GO TEAM!
Fondly, The 30 Members of the Ironman New Zealand Team 2012
