Hi everyone and welcome to my Team In Training home page!
This is my first half marathon and I am so excited to run for a cause!
I'm training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS)
Team In Training for the Disneyland Half Marathon. All of the Team In Training
members are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma
and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am completing this event in memory of Evelyn Grace Doyle,
who lost her hard fought battle with congenital infantile leukemia on
August 16, 2009, just a few short months after her birth .

To read more about Evelyn and the foundation that has been established in
her honor please visit:

Please support my participation with Team in Training by making a donation.
Your donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS)
Team In Training will be used to fund research to help find a cure for
individuals battling blood cancer.
Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
THANK YOU so much to everyone who is supporting me, it truly means a lot!

7/24/10 – I woke up this morning a bit worried and concerned about the 8 mile run I had to overcome today. In all the weeks before the most I had run was 6 miles. Our team plan was to take the trolley downtown and then start running back to where we had left our cars. Say what? The first 2 miles were hard especially on the final part of the 2nd mile, which was a pretty tough hill. I was so happy to see the aid station at the end of mile 2 for a quick drink and on I went… The next 4 miles went by so quick, it was amazing. How could it be I was already at the parking lot where we had met up that morning? So onward and upward to take on the next 2 miles, which would put me all the way over by Fiesta Island? I still can’t believe I actually ran from Santa Fe Depot to Fiesta Island? I don’t know, but all I can say is I did it! There were many times I was running alone during the 8 mile run, but during those times when I would get tired I would just remember how lucky I was to be able to run, as many don’t have that luxury. So… on with another week of hard work, dedication and onto the 10 mile run we have scheduled for this week.
7/30/10 - 10 miles, the furthest so far....I made it AND I can still walk! ;-)
8/14/10 - Well on the training schedule was an 11 mile run… ended up running 13! Still cant believe I ran that far, but I did and I was still able to take on the rest of the day!!
8/28/10 - After a week of heat the runnning gods blessed us today with cool, overcast skies!!! THANK YOU!!! This was my last training run before the big race next Sunday! Thanks to all of you that helped me by donating to such a wonderful cause, it means so much!!! Stay tuned for a post event update!!! :-)
