Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm at it again. I'll be riding my trusty bicycle around the entirety of Lake Tahoe. The area is gorgeous but this won't be a walk in the park. We'll be riding 100 miles and climbing nearly 4,000 feet of elevation. That's good stuff.

This will be my third "Century" Ride and my 4th event with Team in Training. This time I've set a fundraising goal of $1,500 to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fight blood cancers.

In addition to the two family members I've lost to Leukemia, this season, I'm dedicating my ride to my Stepfather who passed away from cancer. I believe the cure for all types of cancer will come as a result of the research that is funded by charities like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Last year was the 20th anniversery of Team in Training, the fundraising arm of the Society. This year also promises to be an exciting one for the Society. This year, we hope to hit the One BILLION mark in donations. That is a lot of zeroes! Check it out. $1,000,000,000. Looks pretty.

Please help find a cure for these terrible, terrible diseases by making a donation. 100% of the money donated will go to the charity. Donations are tax-deductible but more importantly are for a super good cause.
