People have been telling me I need to update my page... so... here you go.

First... thanks so much to everyone for helping me reach my fundraising minimum!

But, I'm not done yet. It is my goal to reach $5000 above my minimum. This is kind of a special season, so it warranted more than just the minimum.

My dad is doing well. He's been relaxing in San Diego for the past month. He heads home on Sunday and will begin his new treatment (immuno vs. chemo therapy) next week. He and my mom remain in good spirits and already have company lined up for next month. <3

The New Year has started off pretty slow from a training perspective. My training mostly consisted of ultimate frisbee with the cousins (lots of running, and i was sore... but so not zone 1-2 training... haha).

And then... since the holidays, I've been sick. A cold I think. It has tapered down to some chest congestion and a nagging cough. I'm going to say that all the coughing has been a substitue for my core work... ;)

Have you ever watched the televised programs of the Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii? I don't remember when I saw my first. But everytime I do, I can't help but be moved and inspired.

Have you ever had the opportunity to hear a cancer survivor's story? I don't remember when I heard my first. But, everytime I do, I can't help but be moved and inspired.

So, what better pairing than triathlon training and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Yes, I am at it again. Taking that next step towards Ironman by participating in my very first Half-Ironman with Team: Vineman. But, I can't do it without your help.
