Vineman 2011 70.3 to Save Lives

Hello all,

the first things everyone asks me when I tell them I am doing a Ironman is

"Are you nuts?"

"Then they ask what does a triathlon consist of?"

I would like to answer the later question because we all know the answer to the first one... ;^)

the Vineman Ironman 70.3 is in Sonoma County, CA on July this year and consists of a

*First event:

1.2 mile swim in the Russian River ( out an back, half up stream and back downstream)

*Second event:

is a 56 mile bike ride

*Third event:

Last but not least is a half marathon run 13.1 miles

*Fourth event:

Celebrating!!! after all we are in Sonoma CA, home of some really great wineries

Good Times!

So as most of you know this is not my first tri but it is for sure the most distance.

I am not doing this on my own, I have the support of my team.

No, I did not join the navy seals!

We are training for Vineman and raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)

Perhaps the most amazing organization, we get to do things we never thought possible while helping find a cure for cancer.

not only is the cure the goal - but it give each person diagnosed the hope and support they need to beat it!

please ask me what I have learned about TNT... and I will tell you crying and laughing - LLS is amazing!
