Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.

Cancer is very personal to my life. At a very young age, I saw how hard it was on the patient and the families involved. I lost a cousin, Brennan, at all too early of an (age 11) to a brain tumor. My uncle lost his battle to cancer at way too early of an age. Being there for his final moments was a hard thing to do but I do know he left this world in peace.
I have seen on a daily basis the challenge's that happen to someone going through Cancer treatment. I sat right next to my good friend Anne as she battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma week after week. Up to her diagnoses, I always thought we had good insurance and then I realized it might be good, but not good enough. Anne continued to work on a daily basis with the exception of treatment days and a recovery day. It was hard for her but it was what had to be done. Anne has been cancer free since September 2005 but it still is never far from her thoughts!
Today I embark on tackling a 13.1 mile race as I raise money so individual's like Anne might have it a little easier fighting cancer and that there will be less instances of individuals dying far too early. Today blood born cancers are the number 3 killer for cancer, let's end this today!
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Thank you! Jenn
