Tomorrow's The Big Day!

I'm so excited!!! I've been training for weeks for this event. This will be my very first ever half-marathon! I have mailed off cash and check donations that have not yet been posted and I have a feeling I will be on my way to reaching my goal. Please donate today, or as soon as you can. Donations will still be accepted 30 days after tomorrow's event. Please keep spreading the word.


As a team we have already raised $145,000 and I believe that was only the marathon team. Now just image adding the triathlon, cycling and hiking teams?? Team In Training is going hard this season! :)


Today I'm in a very chilled mood. I had a rough week; I didn't even get to celebrate my birthday due to exams. But running tomorrow next to so many amazing people will sure make up for it. The race will start at 7:30AM! So I have to get plenty of rest. For now I'm off to a group project meeting, head homeand have a light dinner with friends.

Beating Cancer One Mile at a Time!

Hi my name is Carla Leyva and I am currently training for my 1st EVER HALF-MARATHON to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.



Zooma's Half-Marathon in Austin, Tx April 16th 2011



As a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training, all of us are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.
