We're almost there...96%!

I can't believe it!

This has been such an incredible journey!

Unfortunantly, the journey is taking a little detour.

NOT THE MONEY...

...the running.

All of the funds raised are still going straight to The LLS!

However, i injured my foot about two weeks ago and am still unable to run.

I'm disapointed {crushed really}, but i know that Stacy & I are signing up for another half-marathon.This is not over, it will never be over.

I refuse to let all of this training go down the drain...i will compete in a half-marathon.

I will not stop until i'm finished...however this injury is taking forever to heal.

It seems like it is just my luck, right before the event i get injured. Why not three months ago? Hmmm...

Thank you for all of your prayers, your contributions, your love, your encouragement.

There is no way i could have made it as far as i have without them.

Stay tuned because we will continue to train for the next half!

So... from day 1 of this journey, I knew that I was NOT doing this for me...

But for someone else.

Well, ya know what?

There's a LOT more than just one person effected by cancer.

I want to remember them- that's the ONLY way I will make it 13.1 miles!!

That's exactly what I'm going to do!

If you have anyone you have lost to cancer or has battled cancer and won-

PLEASE let me honor them!!

I want to put their name on a ribbon to remind me of their struggles!

Comment, text me, message me!

Let me give them the honor they deserve!!

What did that just say???

Yeah- we run in 10 weeks!!

Holy Cheese and Crackers!!

NOVEMBER 3 we will be in Savannah!

.

.

.

OK I'm back... I passed out a second!

I cannot believe it!

I gotta give mad props to Amy and myself!

We have really brought our A-Game back to training!

Meeting with the team, 5am wake-ups for 6am runs!

We are kicking butt and taking names!

Pause for applause... :-D

Totally kidding- kinda, sorta!

Here comes the tough part!!

While we are doing great training...

We are struggling with raising money and need your help!!

We are only half way there!

We need your prayers, we need your encouragement, we need your praise...

but we also need your support!

Please consider donating!!

Yesterday i walked that monster.

It's been a while since i've walked (attempted to run) the bridge and dang if i forgot how much of a workout it is. From one side to the other and back you're looking at about 5 miles.

That five miles kicked my butt.

I ran a little on the upwards incline at first and i was all "I can totally do this", a minute in my legs were screaming a different tune. I realized i needed to pace myself, and i also realized that this was exactly the kind of kick in the butt i needed.

I haven't been training as seriously as i should be.

LIFE has gotten busy and "in the way" and i've skipped many training days because i'm "too tired, too hungry, too sore, too ______" Frustrating right?

. . .

Yes, today i'm sore.

Today my legs feel the burn just walking from my desk to the bathroom…but today i'm stronger than i was yesterday morning.

I'm learning that this process isn't one that i'm just going to be able to say "i can do it"…i actually HAVE to do it.

I've got a little over two months to push, push, and PUSH to get myself walking/running every.single.day. even when it hurts.

. . .

I've heard it said that everything worth having requires effort. Lots of effort.

. . .

Well, i want to be a runner…and that is going to require not only effort but sacrifice.

I'm ready for that sacrifice.

Running…

Yesterday morning was actually NOT BAD i mean can i say that and not jinx myself? I woke up at 6am and went running before work *GASP* i know, i was surprised also!

My knees hurt, my ankles hurt, my shins hurt, my sides? hurt, but i know it's a blessing to be able to put one foot in front of the other each and every day.

I'm blessed, whether i cross that finish line using my fingernails to pull me forward, or my feet are going beast on the pavement.

Regardless, i'm blessed to have another day, another opportunity, and more and more chances to GET FIT and be an encouragement.

What are you blessed with today?
