Together we're Racing to Save Lives!
Welcome to our Team In Training home page.
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? We reached and PASSED our goal!!!
Thank you so very much to everyone who donated!
Here's an update:
James completed his first marathon! He ran the Myrtle Beach marathon on February 19, 2011 with numerous other Team In Training participants and dispite twisting his ankle at mile 18 he finished in 4:15!!! His goal was 3:40 but next time! Tanya is still on hold after finding out her foot was broken last August...no wonder training hurt! It still has not healed and she is curently waiting for an MRI and a visit with a podiatrist to see what the next step is....She still plans on running a 1/2 marthon!!! Hopefully in the fall.
So until Tanya finishes her 1/2 marathon were still fundraising! Let's see how high we can get that fundrasing amount!!!
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
These HEROES are our driving force to raise the funds needed and our motivation to train even when we may not want to, because after all how hard is a Marathon compared to fighting cancer?!
Our HONORED HERO is a local middle school young man by the name of Clay Reeves, he was diagnosed with Acute Promolyectic Leukemia at the age of 7 in 2005 and was in remission by January 2006 after undergoing chemotherapy. Here is a picture of Clay with our boys.
We would also like you to meet our newest HONORED HERO Emilee McCoy. Sweet little Emilee was diagnosed with ALL (Luekemia) at the age of three. Emilee recently turned 5 and is still undergoing treatments until next summer. We were blessed enough to meet her a few weeks back and although she was a typical shy little girl she was beaming with joy and beauty...a real little ANGEL! Here is a picture of her with the boys as well as her mother Lynette.

Please make a donation to support our participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. No amount is too small, you can even donate more than once if that fits your budget better, anything really does help!
We hope you will visit our web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see our progress. Thanks for your support!
