Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I want to thank all of my wonderful donors who have helped me raise an incredible amount money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thank you for making this journey for me a success.
When I decided to take on this adventure, little did our family know that one of our "extended" family members would be diagnosed with leukemia. Right, now she is at MD Anderson in Houston for at least the next month for an aggressive round of chemotherapy. The next step is a bone marrow transplant. Her spirits are great and I can hear her laugh, even though it may be weaker than usual. This is my reason today for individuals I know and don't know who face the battle against blood cancers.
I'm looking forward to crossing the finish line on June 7 in Fletcher, NC as my tribute to those who have battled blood cancers -they are my heros!!!
ps - so where in the world was that photo taken? Last summer I
had the RAGBRAI ride of a lifetime with nine other AARP colleagues
on TEAM Divided We Fail across Iowa. It was a challenge to say the
least - 473 miles in seven days.
