TRI-ing For A Cure

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am once again training for the Wildflower Triathlon long course with Team in Training. My goal this year is to raise more than $3000 to support the TEAM and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

This event gives me an opportunity to use my athletic ability to support a great cause . The Wildflower long course is a half Ironman distance triathlon that will take place on May 2, 2009. I will swim just over a mile in Lake San Antonio before riding my bike 56 miles around the lake and then finishing with a 13.1 mile run.

This event requires a tremendous commitment from all the athletes on our team, who not only prepare for months to have the stamina to complete this event, but also raise money to help support the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society's mission of finding a cure for cancer and offering support to patients and their families.

I've made this commitment and need your help to meet my goal of $3000. By sponsoring me for this event and donating to Team In Training, you'll be supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and helping them provide support, services, and research.

There are many organizations out there fundraising for worthy causes, but I hope that you will donate to Team In Training and help to find a cure for cancer.

• Ellie, a 4 year old from Lincoln, CA who is in the maintenance phase of home-based chemotherapy treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
• Sinjin who is fighting Burkitt's Lymphoma in Texas
• Trevor who lost his battle against congenital Acute Myelogenous Lymphoma at just six months old
• Or my good friend Scott, who is now living a healthy life thanks to a drug that was created because of funds raised by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

I know this is a tough time to be asking for financial support. However, these patients cannot wait for the economy to recover. They need our help now. Anything you can give will help and will be greatly appreciated.
