Fight! Fight! Fight!
We want to score a knockout punch to help beat cancer. Mark and I have been training to do a marathon with Team in Training, a fundraising arm of the Leukemia, Lymphoma Society. In the last 4 years our family has lost five wonderful people to several different cancers. Now we are supporting Mark’s mother Charlotte as she battles lymphoma. She has been a trooper as she goes in for chemo every 21 days. We never hear her complain or lament about what is happening to her. She is a strong woman and we are confident she will win this war. We are running in her honor and in the honor of all those now fighting blood disorders.
We have been getting up early to run and walk even though it has been cold and miserable outside. Other days we go to the gym to work out on treadmills, motivated by the desire to gain strength for our cause. It has not been easy. However, when we think about all the people out there going through cancer treatments, this seems like a walk in the park. They are the heroes in this story.
There are many families who are battling these blood diseases and we want to help by earning money to support research. More people are alive today because of the advancements gained by the LLS research teams. They need our help to keep up the good work.
I know many of you have been touched by this dreadful disease and would do anything to help stop it. We know not everyone can do what we are doing but we hope people can help by donating whatever they can to our cause.
I f you have friends or family members who have won the fight against cancer and you donate, we will honor them with ribbons and carry their names with us as we go.
I f you have lost loved ones to cancer and you donate, we will honor them with ribbons and carry their names with us as we go.
If you know someone who is fighting cancer now and you donate, we will honor them with ribbons and carry their names with us as we go.
Please help us continue this fight and donate whatever you can so we can beat our common enemy, cancer.
Thank you,
Pat and Mark Ostroff
