As many of you know, I battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2001 while finishing my master's degree and starting medical school. As a survivor, I've been dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer charities. I am now moving into my 10th year Cancer-Free and want to do that in the best shape I can. I am training for the Pacific Grove Triathlon with Team in Training to raise funds for those who have not yet reached a cure or remission. Please help me to help them to cross that finish line. My goal is to raise $10,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by September 11th.
The 2010 Night of Celebration on August 20th was a blast and a total success!
As of today (8/30) I have raised over $6,000!!! (It will take some time to show up online). I'm still working toward my stretch goal of $10,000. It's not too late to donate!
I'm also focusing on my training for Pacific Grove where I'll swim one mile, bike 25 miles, and run 6 miles. On August 22nd I completed a practice triathlon with approximately half distances. It went very well and I'm excited for my race!
