Lyndall's Fundraising Page

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the inaugural Nike Women's Half-Marathon in Washington D.C. (in April 2013) as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
I'm not a fast runner (yet) and get down on myself for it, but recently I heard this quote, "I run for those who can't". So when I'm training or in a race and things start to hurt, I remember the people who would love to be in my shoes but are instead in a hospital bed, and it's been helping me focus and be thankful for every step and huff & puff I take.
Going to Washington D.C. has always been a dream of mine. It's going to be exciting to visit a place full of history (I'm really looking forward to going to the Smithsonian!), and I heard the race course for the half-marathon takes us by some of the popular landmarks in the area. Being able to participate in this race AND raise awareness and funds for the LLS is important to me.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures. Any amount helps!
