I completed my very first 5k on March 16th, 2013!
It was the Run or Dye Color Fun Run in Sacramento. I had a blast!
The race was a fun run which meant it was not officially timed. However I used my iPod to time myself and I ran the 3.1 miles in 30 minutes! This was my best time to date!
I was so proud of myself!
I'm super excited to run a few more 5k's on my way to my 10k and Half Marathon at the end of August!
Here are some photos of the event:
I’m so excited to share that I will be running in the Dumbo Double Dare Race at Disneyland with 2 amazing friends of mine.
The race consists of a 10k = 6.2 miles (on August 31st) and a Half Marathon = 13.1 miles (on September 1st).
Being an athlete since the age of 4 has really taught me a lot. Everything from discipline, self-respect, time management, teamwork and many other characteristics.
I've been a competitive Artistic Roller Skater for 12 years and felt like I needed a change in my life after making it to Nationals 3 years in a row. When I took the break from skating, I became antsy to get back into some sort of athletic activity.
After talking with two amazing women in my life (Cindy and Elizabeth) I decided to join TNT and start running. This has brought a lot of joy to my life and made the transition away from skating a little easier.
I'm so excited to be a part of TNT and help fight this ugly thing called cancer!!!
Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
