Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Believe it or not, I, Debbie Waters, have decided to train for a marathon this year! There are two reasons for this decision, the first being that I lost my aunt to leukemia some 17 years ago. The second is that I have lost far too many friends and family in the last few months and I decided it was time for me to get in the best shape possible.

I'm training to participate in the Anchorage Mayor's Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of Patricia and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
