We CAN Make A Difference!
Hi Everyone,
What I’m doing:
Over the next few months, I will lot hundreds of miles on my bike to raise funds for research with the Leukemia/L ymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training(TNT). It is mind-blowing how close they have come to a cure for blood cancers…even just in the past ten years!
What I'm asking you to do:
I know the economy has hit a lot of people hard, but please make a donation of some kind… (Even if $5) to the cause. If you can afford it, I’d love it if you would donate, $25 $100, $500…or more! I need to raise $3,000.
Who I’m doing it for:
Although Leukemia can strike anyone at any age, 60% of all children stricken with cancer, have a blood cancer.
I am riding on behalf of all people battling blood cancers. I would love to ride in honor of a loved one of yours. Please send me a picture and information on him or her. I would like to make a photo button of him/her to wear as I ride.
I am also riding in memory of my former TNT Mentor, Danielle Bonebrake, who died suddenly in 2007 at the age of 37. Danielle, I will think of you as I ride all those difficult hills…and how you encouraged me to just breathe, gear down, and keep going. You were, and are, an inspiration to me.
Thank you so much for your support. I am diving into this, giving hours of time each week, and supporting financially, as well. Please join me. Together we really ARE making a difference!

PS. I’d also encourage you to join the bone marrow registry. It’s very unlikely that you’d ever be called to donate. But if you are, you WILL save a life!
