9 weeks of training down and 8 1/2 weeks until San Diego Rock 'N' Roll!!! I am well past my fundraising minimum....I cannot thank my family and friends enough for their love and support. Two of our Team Honorees celebrated birthday's in the past few weeks. Waking up at the crack of dawn and giving up most of Saturday and having blistered feet are well worth it knowing I am helping to give someone another birthday.

Yesterday's training in Petaluma at Shollenberger Park was amazing. It was it was a brisk but beautiful day. We had 4 of our team honorees there to share their stories with us and to give us encouragement.
I am feeling really good this season with very little issues from my hip which is good news. I started Pilates a few weeks ago and I am sore in places I never expected to be. I had a fantastic fundraiser at Mary's Pizza Shack on Feb. 28th and raised $239.00. A huge thank you to them for supporting LLS!!!
Yesterday, I presented the team with the Spirit Cape that . It is a beautiful purple cape that is awarded to the person that exemplifies the most spirit, enthusiasm and encouragement to their teammates, the coaches/captains, and the honorees. Each week the Cape will be passed along from one teammate to another. They can add their own personal flair on it in addition to the honorees pictures and words I have already on it.
This season's team is amazing and I love being a part of TNT/LLS. Thank you for your continued support to a cause that is so near and dear to my heart.

Today we had our team training over in Sonoma today. It was very cold and wet but everyone's spirits were high. We really have a great group of Peeps this season!!! We also had our Honoree Potluck and had many of our team honorees there and were joined by the Cycle and Tri teams.
I received some sad news that a friend has been diagnosed with a low grade Lymphoma. At first I was in shock thinking what I am hearing cannot be true, then I felt sadness and am now I am feeling angry that one more person I know has been diagnosed with a blood cancer. It makes me want to fight even harder to find a cure. My heart and prayers go out to him and his family.

Spring Season Kickoff was this morning. We have a great group of peeps. Several of our Team Honorees were able to make it today to share their stories with the team. I could not be more proud of the work I do with TNT/LLS.
Call me crazy...but I am at it again. On June 5, 2011 I will be participating in my 4th half marathon with Team In Training/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (TNT/LLS). I never thought when I began my journey in 2009 I would become so passionate about this cause. But it seems like everytime I turn around someone I know or a friend's family member or loved one is diagnosed with a blood cancer and I know I must continue to help find a cure for all blood cancers!!
I began my TNT/LLS journey in 2009 to honor my dear family friend Shane....
And I continue my TNT/LLS journey to help find a cure for Emilie, my personal honoree for San Diego Rock n' Roll 2011. Jan. 12th...is Emilie's END OF TREATMENT day! Seven months after Emilie's diagnosis and she is finally done with treatment!!!
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I hope you will join me in my fight!!!
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thank you so much for your support!!!!!!!
